For today we were at Walnut Park taking photographs. I mainly took photos with Justin and Jesus while walking through nature. It was a great time to be there since it was daytime, it may it easy for us to see every aspect of the park. Most of our photos consisted of different aspects of nature, like inspects and grass. I wanted to get shots of inspects because I always find it interesting to study how they act in their environment. Overall the field trip was very fun and inspirational as well, at the end I found myself wanting to go back out and get more.

About each of these photos were taken in downtown San Diego in the Gaslamp District. The first photo was taken at CSUSM and the second in a condo downtown. While each of these photos illustrate the compositions, the downtown photos illustrate the calm, relaxed environment of a Sunday. The purpose of them is to capture nature in an urban setting during the daytime. The reason I edited the photos how I did was to test the various effect Lightroom had. Some I wanted to see how colors would change the effect of the photo while others I used grain to create a vintage effect.
While the audio recording was the same as the audio on the video were they both gave different illustrations of what photography is. Listening to the audio it felt like the speakers were defining photography as a way to find yourself. Since there was no video imagining what their vision was helped me somewhat understand what they were explaining. Once the video started playing though I realized what I was imagining may have not been what they were trying to explain. Compared to the audio, the video gave examples of what each speaker was talking about. This gave the video a stronger meaning and made photography seem more important than it ever was. Kind of like it was a righteous duty of us to document the life around us with photography.
